Great entry level division!
Rookie Rider classes are open to riders who have not won six firsts in any show (Novice Classes not to be counted) in that particular seat or class at any show including WSG/Breed/USEF/Equine Canada.  Schooling shows & 4-H shows are exempt.  prior wins of horse with a different rider are not a factor.  Click here for more information


Novice Division

Register of Merit Program

This program offers 16 different awards and recognitions that you can achieve when showing at WSH approved shows.   Participants can earn jackets & buckles.   To find out more about this great program click here!


Youth Merit

Our youth are considered to be some of the best in the State. Many of you are completing tasks daily through school, community service, and riding that you may be earning credit for through the Youth Merit program. I encourage you to take the time to review the point system listed and begin your journey to earning these tangible awards.  Find out more about this program here!


A System Rewards

Do you show your horse at "breed" shows?  did you know that you can earn recognition thru WSH's "A" System Year End Awards program?

 

Arabian, Half-Arabian, and Morgan exhibitors may earn WSH A-System points at Breed shows that do not have WSH recognition by following specific procedures.  All such shows must be held in Washington State.

 

2.   Exhibitors at non-WSH shows that are recognized by Appaloosa Horse Club, American Paint Horse Association of America, Pinto Horse Association of America, Arabian Horse Association, Morgan Horse Association, or American Quarter Horse Association, Hunter/Jumper shows and Reining events may earn A-System WSH points.  All such shows must be held in Washington State.

 

You must be a current member of Washington State Horsemen & sign up for year end awards.

Your Breed Program

Many of you enjoy competing at open shows and earning credit and recognition at your breed's association.  If you own a Paint, Appaloosa, Pinto, Morgan or Arabian, there is a program for you!  Showing at open shows and participating in your breed program will give you the most bank for your show buck!  You deserve the recognition not just locally but nationally as well!  Its simple to sign up for!  Below are the links to the associations that offer program for "open show" participants.
