Whats New!
Hi All!
Hope everyone is doing well and this past month has not been too harsh!
The 1st in the winter series of shows begins January 24th. We will again
hold the halter/showmanship/plsr classes on Saturday with advanced
showmanship, trail and equitation classes with patterns.

NEW FOR SATURDAY Novice Horse
Classes! These are for TRUE BEGINNING horses! Novice Horse = Not to have
won 3 - 1st’s at the beginning of the series in that class The horse can
show the Novice Classes for the entire series even if they start winning
during the series. BUT they cannot show the novice class(es) in all
following series if they have won 3 blue ribbons in that class. Hopefully
that makes sense!
ALL NEW FOR SUNDAY!
• Later start time! We’ll begin at 9am!
• The Equitation classes will all have patterns. BUT these classes can now
be ridden EITHER English or Western. The choice is yours.
• Western Riding Classes added!
• Reining Class added!

“B” SYSTEM SHOW
March 28 & 29
Trails End Arena, Olympia WA
We are starting early this year!
this show promises to be low keyed and get your energy directed
towards the show season!
Judges are Steve Bryson & Joyce
Thomas. This will be a full class schedule, including halter,
showmanship, pleasure and equitation, trail and driving over two days.
High Point Categories are 10 &
Under Walk Trot, 13 & Under, 14 thru 17, 18 thru 49, 50 and over,
Western Horse, English Horse, Novice Horse, Novice Rider
Some of the highlights of the show are:
• Buckles to Superior Challenge Classes (English Pleasure, Western
Pleasure, Halter)
• Portable DVD players to High Point youth categories.
• Buckles to High Point Western Horse & English Horse
• Egg Toss ~ Winners receives their stall for free or $50 off their
show bill!
• Great High Point & Reserve Awards to all High Point Categories.

Carolyn Rice
Quarter Horses
Carolyn Rice Quarter Horses
is an all around program. She has had World & Congress Champions
as well as many top ten youth and amateur riders in Western
Riding, Trail, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, Hunt
Seat Equitation, Hunter Under Saddle and Hunter Hack. Carolyn
is, herself, a World Champion in Junior Trail.
Carolyn Rice Quarter Horses training program is dedicated to
helping you reach your greatest potential with your horse.
Carolyn's philosophy is to work towards the highest ideal in the
industry; therefore, the program is tailored to meet the
individual needs of both horse and rider. She works toward
discovering a horse's strengths and enhancing them, during which
time she also helps the rider to improve his/her, own skills.
While training your horse, Carolyn realizes the owner must
become an educated equestrian. This is accomplished by having
the rider participate in a very intense yet fun lesson program.
The rider will learn the skills that are required for
communicating effectively with their horse, while enhancing
their overall intuitiveness.
Carolyn's personal goal is for you and your horse to become the
finest team possible, always reaching for a higher level, while
reflecting on your personal achievements and progress.

Washington State Horsemen recognizes your
accomplishments at the "A" system Shows!
Did you know that if you show only breed shows (ie; Paint,
Quarter Horse, Arabian, etc…) we have a program for you! And it is really
simple to follow!
This is the brief description;
Join Washington State Horsemen (WSH)
Sign up with WSH for the year end award within your breed
Show your horse at your breed show.
Fill out the show results form that will tell WSH what
classes you entered and how you placed.
Send the form into the Horse Show Division Director.
How simple is that! And you can save money on your
membership by joining online thru the Poormans Club at
http://poormanshorseshows.com/join_wsh.htm.
It will save you as much as $10 off the regular membership! Once you are a
member in good standing you can then sign up for the year end awards
program.
