ENTRY CLOSING DATE: Pre-entries must be postmarked
no later than April 14th. Completed entries must include a check or credit
card #. Pre-entry of 2 classes will entitle exhibitor to add classes at
the show at the pre-entry fee. Faxed entries are considered originals. If
an entry is faxed it does not need to be mailed as well. New entries will
be accepted at the show as well, but there will be a post entry penalty of
$15.00.

General Rules
AGE: The age of an individual on Dec. 1, 2008 is maintained the entire year. For
horse show purposes, a horse becomes one year old on January following actual
foaling date.
CHANGES: Show management reserves the right to combine/cancel classes
with fewer then 3 entries; to accept entries for unfilled classes 2 classes
prior; to divide classes as entries warrant; to substitute listed officials.
Exhibitors will be advised if classes are combined, cancelled or split.
CONDUCT/REFUSAL OF ENTRY: Show management reserves the right to refuse
any entry of an exhibitor or the participation of any agent, trainer, rider, or
driver who has shown an objectionable attitude toward a recognized show or
previous unsportsmanlike behavior at a recognized show or to its management.
Abuse, either physical or verbal, to show personal, show officials, trainers,
exhibitors, or animals will not be tolerated at this show. Any reported abuse
will be investigated and upon verification by show management, the
person/persons will be eliminated from further competition at this show, will
forfeit all unused fees, and will be barred from the show grounds.
DOGS: All dogs must be on a leash. No dogs in the warm up arena or barn.
Dogs are allowed in the parking/RV area & spectator stands.
ENTRIES must be in writing, signed by owner/authorized agent, and
accompanied by proper fees. Parent/Guardian must sign the entry of a junior
exhibitor. All cards must be shown to the show office before receiving your back
numbers. Leave an open check or open credit card at the office at the time of
entry for classes to be added on.
GATE HOLDS are limited to the horses/riders in consecutive classes, and
shall not exceed 3 minutes. In classes where horses compete collectively, the in
gate may not be closed sooner than 2 minutes after the last horse exits the ring
from the previous class unless all entries for the next class are present. An
official timer will be appointed. NO HORSE WILL ENTER THE ARENA ONCE THE GATE IS
CLOSED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
JUDGES: No one shall approach a Judge until he/she first obtains
permission from show committee or steward, who shall arrange an appointment at a
proper time and place. THE DECISIONS OF A JUDGE IS FINAL.
AMATEUR CARDS You must posses a WSH or USEF Amateur Card, Appaloosa Non
Pro, AQHA Non Pro and Paint Non Pro Cards.
NUMBERS: Exhibitors must appear in the ring suitably attired, with
correct number on their back or on each side of the saddle pad, clearly visible
to the judge at all times when in competition. EXCEPTION any “in hand class”
where the number can be pinned to the front of the exhibitor. Entries with
incorrect or missing numbers may be eliminated.
PROTESTS: Any rider, driver, owner, agent, trainer or parent of a junior
exhibitor may file a protest with the show must be made in writing, signed by
protestor, accompanied with a deposit of $50.00, addressed to the secretary of
the competition at which the alleged violation occurred, within 48 hours of the
alleged violation, OR may be made directly to the horse show director,
accompanied with $50.00 deposit and received within 5 business days following
the last recognized day of the competition. A deposit will be refunded in the
event the protests in upheld.
REFUND OF ENTRY FEES: (less an office fee of $30.00 or 10% of the entry
fee, which ever is greater) will be made on receipt of a veterinarian's
certificate specifying the exact nature of the disability, and must be presented
prior to the horse's first class. Refund checks will be mailed unless applied
towards another entry. There are no refunds for personal illness or failure to
show your horse in any event marked on your entry blank.
PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR: All juniors riding in Hunt Seat Equitation sections
must wear protective headgear while riding in the designated schooling, exercise
areas and the show ring. Any rider violating this rule at anytime must
immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in
place. USAE strongly encourages all riders to wear protective headgear passing
or surpassing current applicable ASTM standards with harnesses secured while
riding anywhere on the grounds. It is the responsibility of the rider or the
parent or guardian or trainer of the junior exhibitor to see that the headgear
worn complies with appropriate safety standards for protective headgear intended
for equestrian use, and is properly fitted and in good condition, and the USEF,
WSH, Show Staff and Licensed Officials are not responsible for checking headgear
worn for such compliance. Leadline riders are required to wear approved helmets
whenever mounted on a horse.
REGISTRY NUMBER and full registered name is required for entry in breed
designated classes for registered horses. Papers or a photocopy must be
presented when entering a breed class.
HIGH POINT AWARDS High point awards are based on a one horse/one rider
combination. High point criteria is as follows:
Halter Horse High Point = All Halter classes including Championship; 10 & Under
Walk Trot = 10 & Under classes Only, 13 & Under = Halter & Age Division Classes
Only, 14 thru 17= Halter & Age Division Classes Only; 18 thru 49 = Halter & Age
Division Classes Only; 50 and over = Halter & Age Division Classes Only; Western
Horse =Western Classes Only; English Horse = English Classes Only; Novice Horse
= Halter & Novice Horse Classes Only; Novice Rider = Halter & Novice Rider
Classes Only; Pleasure Type Horse; Stock Type Horse
PLEASURE TYPE HORSE is defined as an Arabian, Half Arabian, NSH, Gaited
Horse, Morgan, Saddlebred, etc... If in doubt, please ask prior to showing
STOCK TYPE HORSE is defined as a Quarter Horse, Paint Horse, Appaloosa
(usually), etc... If in doubt, please ask prior to showing
ELIGIBILITY Upon entering the show you are deemed eligible for the
classes you are signing up for. Persons questioning the eligibility of an
exhibitor must submit the question in writing with a non-refundable $50 check.
Eligibility or lack of can only be confirmed thru associations that keep records
of their entries.
POORMANS AWARDS: A prize will be awarded to each first place under each
judge. Sweatshirts will be given to each exhibitor/horse combination, a ribbon
award will be provided (as placed in class) to be ironed onto your sweatshirt.
You can iron it on at home or we can do it at the show. Each exhibitor receives
a free sweatshirt at the time of entry.
