                ***Stall Assignments - Stall charts will be uploaded on Thursdays
Please specify if you are with a trainer in your email or on your faxed entry.  The stall assignments may change periodically.  When a large group comes in it is sometimes necessary to move stalls around.  Be sure to check back right before you leave for the show so you have the most current information

Saturday Show High Point Awards For:

10 & Under ~ 13 & Under ~ 14 - 17 ~ 18 & Over ~ Beg Horse ~ Western ~ English ~ Gaited Horse

 

Age Division  (excluding 10 & Under)  Halter & Age Division Classes Only.    Based on one horse/one rider combo.
Halter & Beginning Horse to count to Beginning Horse   Based on one horse/one rider combo.  Halter to count BUT winners must ride at least one beginning Horse class.

Halter & Novice Horse to count to Novice Horse   Based on one horse/one rider combo.  Halter to count BUT winners must ride at least one Novice Horse class.

Western = Western Classes only -   Based on horse only.  Multiple riders ok;   day fee WILL NOT apply to 2nd rider

English = English Classes only - Based on horse only.  Multiple riders ok;  day fee WILL NOT apply to 2nd rider

SATURDAY SERIES AWARDS TO:

 Gaited Horse~ Halter Horse ~ 10 & Under ~ 13 & Under ~ 14 - 17 ~ 18 & Over ~ English Horse ~ Western Horse ~Beginning Horse

MUST SHOW MINIMUM 3 SHOWS 1 OF  WHICH MUST BE THE LAST SHOW OF THE SERIES.  Failure to show at the last show of the series  will eliminate you from Series High Point Awards.  Sorry, no exceptions.

 

SERIES HIGH POINT CRITERIA

One Horse/One Rider Combination for Age Divisions.  All Classes Count EXCLUDING Championship for Age Groups
Halter & Beginning Horse to count to Beginning Horse
Based on one horse/one rider combo.  Halter to count BUT winners must ride at least one Beginning Horse class.
Halter & Novice Horse to count to Novice Horse Based on one horse/one rider combo.  Halter to count BUT winners must ride at least one Novice Horse class.
Western = Western Classes only -
Multiple riders ok; day fee WILL NOT apply to 2nd rider

English = English Classes only - Multiple riders ok; day fee WILL NOT apply to 2nd rider
Halter = Halter Classes only -
Multiple handlers ok; day fee WILL NOT apply to 2nd handler

POINTS:  1st = 7, 2nd = 5,  3rd = 4,  4th = 3, 5th = 2, 6th = 1  Regardless of the number of horses is classes.    Classes may be combined at management's discretion.  Ties to be broken with coin toss.

 

Western WON’T  Start Before Noon on Saturday

 

 

Kids Lead  Line & Adult Lead Line Free ONLY IF the horse used is entered in other classes. 
Or class fees will apply

 

50 cent pieces INSTEAD of ribbons to 5 places on Saturday.    Ribbons can be bought if you want them

SUNDAY SERIES HIGH POINT AWARDS
Trail Horse, 13 & Under, 14 thru 17, 18 & Over, Novice Rider, Novice Horse,
WAHSET Patterned Horse & Rider
You must show at a minimum of 2 shows one of which MUST be the LAST SHOW of the series or you will forfeit your award.

 

 

RULES

No refunds on PRE-PAID scratched classes.  Don't ask.  Leave an open check or credit card slip at the office and you may add and scratch without paying for the scratched classes GENERAL RULES - APPLIES TO THE ENTIRE WEEKEND

Management expects exhibitors to enter classes truthfully to the best of their knowledge.  Management will not “police” beginning horse or rider entries HOWEVER if a letter of complaint is written to Poormans Horse Shows, management will contact the exhibitor for verification of eligibility of horse or rider.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

  * Day Fees are based on one horse/one rider combo. Additional riders are charged the class fee.
   *NO BABY CARRIAGES, CHILDREN OR SPECTATORS IN THE HOLDING PEN where the horses wait to enter the arena. Please go to the stands.
  *High point awards are based on one horse/one rider combination unless otherwise stated.
  *Championship classes do not count towards any High Point Awards
Championship classes = 1st & 2nd in any qualifying class. Championship classes are FREE!
  *JUDGES AND MANAGEMENTS DECISIONS ARE FINAL
  *Unruly or dangerous horses will be asked to leave.
  *Bring a shovel or pitch fork to clean up your mess if you show out of your trailer. Leave no mess behind
  *Classes added or scratched must be done so in the office. Failure to scratch in the office may result in your being charged for the class
  *Breaks to be determined
  *10 & under riders HELMET REQUIRED. 10 & under riders can cross enter into other walk/trot classes EXCEPT beginning horse and 13 & under. 10 & under riders cannot cross entry with any canter classes
  *Schooling equipment is allowed
  *Show clothes are not required
  *Cross entry between walk/trot & canter classes is allowed EXCEPT the 10 & under classes. *
  *Stallion handlers MUST be 18 years or older
  *Schooling is allowed BUT you must follow the class calls (walk, trot, canter, etc...) ABSOLUTELY NO STOPPING AND BACKING ON THE RAIL.
  *Two hands are allowed on a shanked bit when riding western.
  *Equipment must match the requirements of the class; ie: no western saddles in an english class unless class is open to both disciplines etc...
  *Youth riders must wear a hat or helmet on their head
  *No lunging in warm up arena when horses are being ridden.
  *Depending on the size of the show, lunging & riding in the warm up arena may be prohibited until after showmanship has been completed.
  *Parents must receive permission for any child under the age of 10 to enter lope and/or canter classes NO EXCEPTION. You may be asked to leave if you violate this rule.
  *Beginning Horse = 1st & 2nd calendar year of showing in any USEF/Equine Canada/WSH and/or Breed recognized shows prior to the current year with any owner.
  *Novice Horse = Having not won 3 1st places in specific class at the beginning of the series or while being shown in any USEF/Equine Canada/WSH and/or Breed recognized shows prior to the current year with any owner.
  *Easy Gait Classes - opened to all breeds of gaited horses. Equipment to be standard with breed. Classes judged as follows:
     43 Easy Gait ~ Pleasure Horse, Two Gait 40% on gait, 30% consistency, 30% showmanship
     47 Easy Gait Two Gait, slow & int gait, judged 100% on gait
     52 Easy Gait, Two Gait Beginning Horse (1st & 2nd Yr) 40% on gait, 30% consistency, 30% showmanship
     56 Easy Gait, Pleasure Horse 3 gait - 40% gait, 30% on consistency, 30% showmanship
  *Gaited horses are welcome to show in any class they are eligible to ride

Warm Up Jackpot Classes
Pay $2 to enter at the gate ~ Class is not judged ~ Horses will be asked to walk & jog or trot ~ A  random drawing at the end of the class will determine the winner of the pot.  100% Payback
